About In the worlds jungle
In the worlds jungle is an unique travel blog that explores architecture, history, and culture. My travel articles focus on the fascinating destinations of Asia, India, and Europe.
By diving into architectural styles, we uncover the secrets of the places we live in. When I travel, I love immersing myself in the local and local history of the places I visit. I write articles that reveal the must-see highlights and share captivating stories of heritage sites and important historical events. By embracing cultural customs, we embark on a cultural adventure that unveils the hidden gems of off-the-beaten-path destinations. Cultural immersion is becoming a popular concept with travellers who want to get a feel for the local culture and religion. Perfect for adventurous travellers in search of new horizons.
Meet Lydie
Lydie is not just my best friend, but she’s also my sister and a guest writer at In the worlds jungle. Our first adventure together took us to Thailand, and later on, she came to visit me in Australia. We had an amzing time exploring the country ‘down under’ for a few weeks. Then, Lydie decided to learn Spanish and headed off to Argentina. After her language course, she wandered around Argentina and ended up in Ushuaia, the end of the world in South America.
She met some fellow travelers there who were planning a trip to Antarctica. They invited her to join them, and that’s how she found herself on a boat sailing to Antarctica!
If you want to see her incredible photos, check out the article: Virtual picture tour of Antarctica. Make sure to keep an eye on the website because more articles about her trip to Antarctica are coming soon. And who knows, maybe she’ll share some stories and tips about Argentina too!
Meet Adriana
Namaste
I’m Adriana Machielsen, a restless wanderer and creative generalist. I’m originally from the Netherlands but have been living in Antwerp for the last 11 years. When I travel, it’s not just about ticking off items from my bucket list or hitting the tourist hotspots. I’m all about exploring new places, meeting new people, diving into local history, and immersing myself in different cultures and religions. I like to take my time at each destination, soaking it all in and truly try to understand the social environment, traditions, customs, and more.
I used to travel year-round, but now it’s more of a part-time adventure. At In the worlds jungle, I can unleash my creativity. Creating this website has been quite a journey, with its fair share of ups and downs. I love challenging myself, and my mind is bursting with ideas for the future. Sometimes I have a bunch of ideas and don’t even know where to begin. You know what I mean?
When I’m back in Belgium, I work as a freelance chef. I’ve been in the hospitality sector for a solid 10 years now. And hey, if we ever meet, I can whip up a delicious meal for you! Over the years, I’ve gained a ton of experience, but being a chef is physically demanding. Lately, I’ve decided to switch gears and explore a new career path.
In November 2023 I started working as private tour guide in Antwerp at In the Belgiums jungle, a part of In the worlds jungle. Here I guide tourists around in my hometown for a monumental highlight tour of 2 hours. a half day tour of 4 hours or a full day tour of 8 hours.
Meet Matti
Matti is a local Berliner who’s been working as a tour guide since 2008. He has a history degree and also spent some time in New York and Brussels. When not showing tourists around his hometown, he’s likely a tourist himself somewhere. His goal is to see as many UNESCO world heritage sites as possible. Join him on one of his Berlin tours: www.toursofberlin.com
