Niyati – A boutique stay in Fort Kochi

About Niyati

Niyati is an amazing boutique stay in a quieter street in Fort Kochi. The property has an authentic and charming outlook. The vintage interior is enriched with wooden carved elements, artwork, refurbished wooden floors and furniture. There is a small Chinese Garden and garden style rooftop.

The rooms

At Niyati they have different kind of room options; king size suites, queen size suites, alcoves, economy rooms and budget rooms. It is even possible to book a long term stay from several weeks until a few months. In the mornings they serve an authentic Kerala breakfast. They have several options you can choose from. All the dishes are healthy, vegetarian and prepared fresh that same morning.

Service

The highlight of Niyati is the charming decor and the welcoming hosts and staff. The owner Francis Joseph (on picture below) and his staff go above and beyond to make sure the guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay. It’s a highly recommended boutique experience for solo travellers, couples and families. The hotel is also popular among artists, dancers and writers.

Location

From the hotel it’s easy to explore Fort Kochi on foot. Many popular sights are close like the Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Princess Street, Vasco Da Gama Square, Dutch Cemetery, the SNC Maritime Museum and the Indo-Portuguese Museum. The hotel is approx. 20 minutes from the trainstation. The nearest airport is Cochi International Airport and a 60 minute drive by taxi.
